How to Write Better, Smarter, & More Authentic Copy For Your Business Brand
What is copywriting?
Simply put, copywriting is writing to move someone to action. As a business owner or brand manager, it’s up to you to choose what kind of action you wish your reader to take. Perhaps the action you hope your reader will take is to subscribe to your email list, register for a class, purchase a product, use a coupon, or download an app.
When you’re working in and around your business, wearing multiple hats and juggling many projects, it can be a challenge to write about your work in a way that resonates with your customers and engages your readers so they feel called to take action.
Whether you’re a rookie entrepreneur struggling to entice your customers to purchase on your sales page and engage with your content on social media, or you’re an emerging startup with grand visions and not enough time to focus on copywriting, it’s crucial that you take some time to think more intentionally about what kind of message you’re sending to your audience.
To help you feel more confident while crafting copy for your business communications, we’re sharing a peek at our copywriting process. We frequently ask our clients ten simple questions before we start writing any content or copy for their brand:
Who am I talking to?
What do I want my reader to know?
What is my reader looking for?
How would my reader describe this product, service, program, etc. that they’re looking for
How do I want my reader to feel after reading this?
